The Chedi Luštica  Bay Hotel Opens its Doors to Guests in a Style to Remember

Dazzling light shows, enchanting dancers, tantalizing delicacies and inspirational words are only part of the programme that took place during the event of the season: the inauguration of The Chedi Luštica Bay, the newest pearl on the Adriatic waters, that welcomed over 1600 guests and residents in a stunning vernissage to celebrate its opening on 17 August 2018.

Gracing the official opening ceremonies of both The Chedi Luštica Bay and the Marina was his excellency, Mr Dusko Markovic, the Prime Minister of Montenegro. Joining him was Mr. Samih Sawiris, Chairman of Orascom Development Holding alongside Mr. Darren Gibson, CEO of Luštica Development.

In his opening speech in the Marina Village Promenade, nestled in the center of the Luštica Bay, his excellency proudly noted that The Chedi Luštica Bay and the Marina have made an international impact, serving as a testament to Montenegro’s emerging role as a nation providing a luxurious seaside traveller’s experience; an achievement truly worth celebrating.

Adding to his excellency’s words, Mr. Gibson, the Luštica Bay’s CEO, extended his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the completion of these magnificent properties, whether they are from local institutions, public companies, or local and international partners such as Orascom, Besix, GHM Management companies, and the Lustica Bay residents and employees.

Mr Gibson added that the future will not be without challenges nor without achievements, highlighting that they have already collected many under their belt. Whether it is through the establishment of a half-dozen new hotels, the eight-hole golf course, medical and educational institutions, the initial phases of the Centrale, and the re-vamped city infrastructure, these triumphs convey that they are all up to the challenge as Luštica Bay experiences a re-birth due to their dedication and efforts.

Succeeding these words of thanks was an evening of extravaganzas as the stage was overtaken by a myriad of musical and dance performances, which included the best Montenegrin talents that thrilled the crowds. Dancers bedazzled guests as they played with fire, acrobats defied gravity, and bands filled the air with music as guests relished this pivotal celebration.

The jubilant summer evening continued with electrifying music provided by popular disco bands and Operosa festival’s Electro Opera that exhilarated the guests and residents of The Chedi Lustica Bay.
The events did not end without an elaborate laser and fireworks show which bathed the Marina and The Chedi Luštica Bay’s guests in light on an unforgettable night by the Adriatic sea.

With this extravagant inauguration, Luštica Bay is now open for more than just a leisurely escapade, it provides a breathtaking backdrop to weddings and many group celebrations and retreats. The sea, the marina, shops, spa, golf courses and variety of activities on offer in The Chedi and in the new locale make Luštica Bay the venue to visit.
