For the third year in a row, The Chedi Luštica Bay invites guests to experience its Winter Wonderland, taking place from 12 December to 8 January. Almost a hundred natural Christmas trees fill the promenade and The Spot Restaurant with the scent of pine, their branches glowing with lights that reflect over the bay. Music drifts through the air, the sound of laughter mixes with the clinking of cups, and the festive spirit takes hold from the moment you arrive.
The Winter Wonderland brings together the warmth of the season and the beauty of the coast, turning The Chedi Luštica Bay into a holiday village of flavours, colours, and lights. Along the promenade and The Spot Restaurant, a series of culinary stations celebrates the best of winter comfort and creativity. At the Sweet and Savoury Hut, delicate crêpes are filled with house-made chocolate spread, orange and butter sauce, or local honey, while warm priganice with cheese evoke the taste of tradition. The Candy Forest glows like a scene from a storybook. Chocolate Santas and Christmas trees, marshmallows, and cake pops tempt every passer-by, surrounded by the sweet scent of cinnamon rolls and doughnuts covered in sprinkles. A few steps away, the House of Cheesy Wonders offers the rich aroma of melted Alpine cheese. Guests gather around bubbling fondue or baked camembert served with honeycomb, fig jam, and herb-flavoured bread, a perfect moment of comfort on a winter evening.
At the Sandwich Workshop, visitors create their own combinations with chicken rillettes or BBQ pulled beef, complemented by homemade sauces and crisp condiments. Nearby, the Bonfire Station draws everyone to the fire for grilled sausages, warm bread, and the familiar flavours of mustard, malidzano, and thyme mayonnaise. The scent of wood smoke and the soft glow of the flames make this corner of the Wonderland especially inviting. The Northstar Tavern serves slow-cooked beef stew, rich and aromatic, ideal for lingering with a glass of mulled wine while the bay sparkles outside.
The experience is enriched with magical attractions for visitors of all ages. Mr Gingerbread’s House invites children to decorate cookies and immerse themselves in sweet creativity, while Santa’s House, this year located at the Dome near The Amphitheatre, gives families a chance to meet Santa Claus in person. At The Post Office, little ones can write letters to Santa, and the Magical Wish Tree becomes a glowing symbol where wishes take root and shine. Town Square, located on the promenade in front of The Amphitheatre, serves as a central gathering place where guests can socialize, enjoy performances, and soak in the festive spirit of Winter Wonderland.
Beyond the food, Winter Wonderland celebrates community and creativity. The holiday market brings together local artisans with handmade ornaments, decorations, and gifts that reflect the craftsmanship of the region. Families meet Santa Claus, children decorate biscuits and paint faces, and movie nights fill the ballroom with laughter. On select evenings, live music takes over The Amphitheatre and the entire marina becomes a stage for celebration.
The season reaches its highlight with festive Christmas lunches and a grand New Year’s Eve celebration, when lights and music mark the arrival of another year by the sea.
